וְכֻתְּת֥וּ גוֹי־בְּג֖וֹי וְעִ֣יר בְּעִ֑יר כִּֽי־אֱלֹהִ֥ים הֲמָמָ֖ם בְּכָל־צָרָֽה׃
Und sie wurden in Stücke gebrochen, Nation gegen Nation und Stadt gegen Stadt; denn Gott hat sie mit allen möglichen Widrigkeiten beunruhigt.
Rashi on II Chronicles
And nation was crushed by nation - Heb. וְכֻתְּתוּ. Another instance of this is (Num. 14:45): “and they struck them and crushed them (וַיַּכְּתוּם).”
